Does what it is supposed to

This is the heaviest roller that I found that can be pushed/pulled by hand, not with a tractor. I rototilled my entire backyard to sow new grass seed. This left the lawn very bumpy and uneven. I smoothed it out as much as possible with a wide metal rake, then rolled with this roller. It definitely helped compact the soil and set the seed in good contact with the soil, but it is just not heavy enough to really smooth out high spots. This is true even though it was only working on loose dirt. It would likely be less effective on an established lawn. It does does what it is supposed to, roll about 230 lbs across your lawn, but don’t expect it to do the job of a 600lb roller.

The roller works well for a tow behind an ATV or garden tractor which is what I use it for. It seems to be well made and assembly was easy. The option they give you to use with a handle is not the best but I was able to modifiy and pushing/pulling works good but a lot more work. All in all I would purchase again.

This is a great product for someone looking for a smaller more manageable lawn roller. It works well behind my rear engine riding mower. It also comes with a handle to push around in hard to get to spots.
